Acura Unveils new Performance EV Concept
With design elements inspired by superyachts and the second-gen NSX.
Acura has unveiled its Performance EV Concept, making its official debut earlier this month during Monterey Car Week, signaling a bold new direction in the brand’s electrification strategy. This SUV concept previews the next all-electric model from Acura, which will be the first to be built on Honda’s new EV platform and produced at the upcoming Honda EV Hub in Ohio.
The Acura Performance EV Concept made appearances at two marquee events: The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Developed by the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the concept car showcases Acura’s vision for the future of electric vehicles, blending aggressive styling with advanced aerodynamics.
With its long wheelbase, muscular wheel arches and massive 23-inch wheels, the Performance EV Concept exudes power and athleticism. The design draws inspiration from superyachts and the second-generation NSX, with a vented hood, prominent side vents and a coupe-like silhouette finished in a semi-matte “Moonlit White Pearl” paint. This latest concept car also features high-performance brakes with neon green calipers, tying back to Acura’s Electric Vision Design Study from last year.
Production of an all-new Acura model based on this concept is slated to begin in late 2025 at the Honda EV Hub, with pricing and availability yet to be announced at the time of writing.
