Summary

Cadillac unveiled the single-seat V-One concept, built on Dallara’s carbon monocoque from the V-Series.R prototype.

Freed from race rules, its naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 hybrid pushes 830 horsepower.

Featuring a silver-to-navy endurance paint gradient, Cadillac is evaluating a limited run for private collectors.

Cadillac disrupted Monterey Car Week by unveiling the V-One at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The track-only hypercar concept is born directly from the brand’s championship-winning V-Series.R Le Mans prototype.

The vehicle utilizes the exact same Dallara carbon fiber monocoque and pushrod-actuated suspension as the competition model. However, freed from strict LMDh class regulations, the naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V-8 hybrid powertrain has been fully unleashed. It now produces a staggering 830 combined horsepower, significantly surpassing the 670-horsepower limit imposed on the race car. Cadillac aims for lap times within ten percent of the professional racing counterpart while tuning the dynamics to be highly accessible for non-professional drivers.

Aesthetically, the single-seater maintains the dramatic aerodynamic proportions of the prototype while introducing premium bespoke finishes that align with the brand’s luxury identity. The exterior features a meticulous hand-sprayed paint gradient fading from silver at the nose to deep navy at the rear. This distinct visual treatment was designed to symbolize the grueling transition from day to night during a traditional 24-hour endurance race. An illuminated physical Cadillac emblem replaces the standard racing decal on the front structure, joining updated dark-persona badging and a completely new V-Series wheel design tailored specifically for this project.

Inside the exposed carbon fiber cockpit, pure prototype racing hardware merges with elevated passenger luxury. The driver-focused cabin is outfitted with specialized recycled fabrics from the Cadillac Collection, a serialized door plaque denoting its exclusivity and a driver’s seat molded to exact customer physical specifications. Engineers also developed an intuitive custom user interface and a tailored steering wheel button layout. This high-tech setup provides clear telemetry data, visual feedback and coaching so the immense hybrid power remains manageable on the circuit for enthusiasts stepping into a factory-level machine.

While officially billed as a concept study, Cadillac leadership is openly testing the waters for a limited customer production run. If realized, the V-One would thrust the American luxury brand into an elite echelon of the automotive market, challenging low-volume track programs from established competitors like Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren. Partnering with a dedicated chassis constructor ensures the manufacturing capacity already exists, paving the way for these untethered prototypes to reach private garages in the near future.
