Update: Having been revealed last week, THE MUSEUM VISITOR’s three ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14s are about to undergo their first of two launches. Presented in colorways of “Illusion Blue,” “Mineral Brown” and “Glacier Grey,” which we now have complete imagery of and discussed previously below, the project’s initial drop will be made available via THE MUSEUM VISITOR. Each pair will be priced at ₩249,000 KRW (approx. $190 USD) and made available on July 25 at 11am local time, which converts to 10pm EDT on July 24. From there, a global launch is scheduled for late August via HBX and select retailers.
Original Story: South Korean label THE MUSEUM VISITOR is teaming up with ASICS to outfit the GEL-KAYANO 14. The brand is joining an expansive list of collaborators to rework the shoe this year, ranging from atmos to P. Andrade.
Three colorways of the GEL-KAYANO 14 have been assembled by the duo — blue, black and gold. All three pairs have been adjusted with an extended tongue that lays atop the lacing system, showcasing ASICS’ logo prominently. THE MUSEUM VISITOR branding can be spotted at the lateral heel, which has notably been combined with an airbrush effect as one color turns to another. The blue and gold looks features a white base while the black pair favors a gray base, with both utilizing silver accents throughout.
Release for THE MUSEUM VISITOR’s ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14s is set to begin on July 25 via ASICS Korea. From there, a global launch on August 16 is scheduled via HBX and select retailers. For a closer look at the pairs, be sure to review the embedded social content below.
