Two new singles “Berlin Nightmare” and “One More Time” from SOPHIE have been released. These two releases are a part of her upcoming posthumous LP SOPHIE which will be her second and final album. The album was nearly complete before her untimely death in 2021 as the artist and longtime collaborator Benny Long had been working on it for years.

“Berlin Nightmare” featuring musician Evita Manji is filled with gritty beats that build before satisfying beat drops. The song features minimal vocals and perfectly suits techno clubs as it masters every aspect of a techno track.

In contrast, “One More Time” featuring Popstar begins very quietly as a subtle beat sequence is almost hard to pick up on until the two-minute mark when it explodes. From there, the song speeds up, repeating “one more time” over and over before fast-paced beats finish the song.

The two songs come after the lead single’s release a month ago. “Reason Why” featuring Kim Petras and BC Kingdom is a fun, pop-oriented track featuring SOPHIE and Petras’ vocals. While the two swap off with the verses, Petras takes on the hook in her signature bubblegum voice, singing “In your mind, in your eye / Take a little look inside / What’s your life, in your eyes / And I know the reason why.”

Take a listen to SOPHIE’s “Berlin Nightmare” and “One More Time” below. SOPHIE is out September 27.
