Mugler x Gentle Monster Present Eyewear Capsule
Reimagining archival Mugler silhouettes.
Following up its standout collaboration with BLACKPINK‘s JENNIE, Gentle Monster is enlisting Mugler for its latest eyewear release. In the striking Spiral 01 and Spiral 02 silhouettes, the duo melds their distinctive energies and ethos to craft two pairs of sunglasses that reimagine Mugler’s archival eyewear models from a modern lens.

The eyewear is informed by Mugler’s intention usage of geometric design in its collections; the Spiral 01 pulls design inspiration from Mugler’s Fourmis eyewear model, which was first introduced in the House’s Les Insectes couture collection back in 1997. Taking a wide, goggle-like shape, the glasses see rubber nose pads to ensure comfort and subtle branded hits throughout.
As for the Spiral 02, the frames also take an amplified goggle shape and feature embossed line detailing throughout the silhouette with chrome branding etched onto the temples.
