PJ Tucker holds the crown as the king of sneakerheads in the NBA. While he and his Los Angeles Clippers teammates are locked-in on tonight’s must-win game 6 matchup against Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks, Tucker has his own Nike Air Flight ‘89 launch to look forward to this weekend as well.

Presented in a “Sky Blue” colorway, Tucker drew inspiration from the skies, and the Boeing 777-300 in particular, with this premium finish of the recently-reintroduced silhouette. Its 472 pairs are assigned a “seat number” at the tongue’s interior — corresponding with one of the 472 seats located within the aforementioned aircraft. Its “Carolina Blue”-esque upper sees various pebbled leather layers team up with matching gray Swooshes while resting atop an off-white midsole. From there, a Nike Air-branded sockliner depicts a cloudy sky as PJ Tucker’s logo adorns the heel.

Release for PJ Tucker’s Nike Air Flight ‘89 “Sky Blue” is taking place exclusively via his The Better Generation storefront in Houston. An in-store release is set to go down alongside an online raffle that is open now. The shoe is priced at $160 USD and winners of the raffle will pay an additional $4 USD Run Fair fee.
