After making a name for itself as one of LA’s buzziest parties over the last several years, Donavan’s Yard is upping the ante with its first-ever music festival, scheduled to take place this Saturday, June 1.

Celebrating its third anniversary, the group is departing from its usual event format to produce its own “mini-festival,” a submarket in the music event space that DY claims to be “fastly growing.” The one-day festival features an eclectic lineup, with performances from headliner 03 Greedo, as well as artists like El Cherry Scom, Wayne Wonder, Sarz, DJ Tunez, Donavan’s Sound Club, SadBoi, Chenayder, Anastazja, Foreigner, Giselle Peppers and Geezy and Mysta Crooks.

Outside of music, the event will include inflatable games and robust food tents from vendors, including Uncle Paulie’s Deli, Love Hour, Happy Ice, Rocky’s Matcha and Da Jerk Yard.

“For us, when we’ve done these big events, we’ve always run into roadblocks trying to bring the vision to fruition. At the end of the day, you end up at the mercy of whatever concert venue that often doesn’t really understand the movement that our brand is trying to build,” said Donavan’s Yard co-founder Sean G. “So the real goal with building the Donavan’s Yard festival is to just create an experience that we’d want to attend, an experience that is 100% authentic Donavan’s Yard.  It’s power in numbers and we are not only excited for June 1, but also to see where this goes in the future.”

Drewbyrd, another co-founder, added, “This has been a vision of ours for a while now. We feel we’re growing at a pace that has now exceeded the regular club space, and we plan to grow not only our peculiar taste in music but also the artists we love.”

The inaugural Donavan’s Yard Festival will take place from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 2130 Violet St. in Los Angeles’ Arts District. Tickets are now available for $56.65 USD on the group’s website.
