Few franchises in the NBA can compare their level of success to that of the Los Angeles Lakers. The team won its first championship in 1949 and most recently won in 2020 thanks to its current leaders of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Here to commemorate the 17 NBA championships that the franchise has claimed so far is Austin Reaves and Rigorer, who are teaming up with KICKS CREW for their first collaboration featuring Reaves’ Rigorer AR1.

Dubbed the “17 Rings” colorway, it features the Lakers’ classic color combination of purple and gold with white offering contrast alongside it. Key tech includes a woven cocoon upper that balances breathability and lockdown, a Showtime foam tech midsole for immediate energy return and anti-slip sole that emphasizes on-court grip. Thematic detailing begins with “17” and trophy hits at the tongue’s interior, which also lists the years of the franchise’s titles underneath. Callouts to KICKS CREW arrive at the tongue and heel to complete the pair. “[The sneaker] celebrates the championships that inspire me every day and the legends behind them,” shared Reaves when discussing the project.

For those eager to pick up a pair of Austin Reaves’ first collaboration between KICKS CREW and Rigorer on the AR1, this “17 Rings” colorway is set to touch down on shelves starting on April 6 at 11am EDT via KICKS CREW at a price of $110 USD.
