When NxWorries announced their upcoming single “86Sentra” yesterday, fans took to the internet to express ample excitement over the duo’s imminent offering. Today, not only did Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge unleash “86Sentra” in tandem with a trippy music video, but the two also announced their sophomore project – aptly entitled Why Lawd? – is dropping on June 7.

Why Lawd? will land nearly eight years after NxWorries’ last LP, Yes Lawd! in 2016. The album is set to include recently released singles “Daydreaming” and “Where I Go” with H.E.R. as well as today’s new track.

In true NxWorries fashion, “86Sentra” comes accompanied by a captivating visual as well. Directed by frequent NxWorries collaborator Rhymezlikedimez, the track’s animated music video follows the cartoon alter egos of .Paak and Knxwledge as they cruise down the highway in a car – with a “Why Lawd?” license plate – listening to the bouncy new cut on the radio.

“N*gga, it’s the top-five lister, double-S drifter / SelvaRey sippin’ and you know I came with her / If she cute with her lips, shut and t*ts like missiles / Act right, you can get a Nissan Sentra,” .Paak slides in.

“Every time I work with .Paak and Knxwledge y’all go crazy, so you already know a new NxWorries project means stepping up my game,” RhymezlikeDimez wrote in an Instagram caption.

“For this piece, I wanted to reach a level of dynamic storytelling I’ve never touched before. I know you like pop culture references, so let me know in the comments if you found one.”

Check out the video above and stream “86Sentra” everywhere now.

Keep an eye out for Why Lawd?, which releases on all streaming platforms on Friday, June 7. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on the album as they surface.
