Cardi B Shares Offset-Directed Music Video for “Like What” Freestyle
The rapper’s first single of 2024.
Earlier this week, Cardi B teased a new song sampling Missy Elliott‘s 1999 classic “She’s a B**ch.” The rapper has now not only released the track – a freestyle entitled “Like What” – but has also debuted an official music video.
In a surprise twist, Offset is behind the camera directing the visual. The video pans a giant glass building, which looks to be a massive office. Cardi wears a bikini under a fur coat as she roams the halls.
In one shot, she dons a silver glittery bikini, posing for a photo shoot. Another sees her lounge on the couch, eating sushi she seems to be retrieving from her purse.
“Moodboard, all y’all imitating my style / Bad bitch, red lips, let me show you,” she raps in one verse. “White toes, eating yellowtail out of Nobu / Keep a hater obsessed.”
Cardi dropped a handful of songs last year, including a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion called “Bongos.” Fans have been awaiting news of her sophomore album, which could potentially be arriving sometime this year. The last (and only) full-length project from the singer dropped in 2018, her debut LP Invasion of Privacy.
