BAPE x BlackEyePatch Is Covered in Camo
With six Japanese artists fronting the campaign: Eyden, Bonbero, Candee, Kaneee, Kohjiya and Elle Teresa.
BAPE has teamed up with BlackEyePatch for its latest capsule collection. The streetwear imprints are tapping back into their archives to reinvent and combine some of their storied signage from the early aughts.
“Derived from BAPE’s classic pieces, the collection embodies BlackEyePatch’s “Tokyo” identity and captures the ambiance of the late ’90s and early 2000s,” BAPE conveyed on its website.
The capsule consists of apparel as well as accessories, with snowboard jackets and zip hoodies leading the apparel foray. Both the snowboard jacket and zip-ups arrive in black BAPE CAMO.
Other apparel includes graphic t-shirts, denim pants, crewneck sweatshirts and sweatpants. The crewneck – available in black and gray – sees a camo BlackEyePatch logo embroidered on the front of the silhouette, with “A Bathing Ape BlackEyePatch Handle With Care” written across the back. Elsewhere, the “1st Camo Shirt” is enveloped in green camo, and is complete with the “Handle With Care” logo on the back.
Accessories span co-branded trucker caps and socks as well as beloved BABY MILO plush dolls. The socks land in black and red colorways and read “Handle With Care.”
For the key visuals, the duo tapped a handful of Tokyo-based music artists to flex the new collection. Check out Eyden, Bonbero, Candee, Kaneee, Kohjiya and Elle Teresa donning the collaborative offering in the gallery above.
Expect the range to land for purchase at BAPE and BlackEyePatch webstores on Saturday, March 23.
