Goldwin 0 Presents SS24 Collection
Dubbed “Collective Study,” the offering explores structures of work and coexisting disciplines.

Goldwin 0 — the experimental arm of Goldwin known for its conceptual, sustainable clothing — has released its SS24 collection. Dubbed “Collective Study,” the offerings explore heady concepts like structures of work and coexisting disciplines through technical, functional made-in Japan apparel that draws inspiration from natural sources like plant seeds and flower buds.
In traditional Goldwin fashion, these inspirations are communicated in a way that’s subtle, not overt. For example, the collection’s GORE-TEX Seed Shell Jacket is crafted from gently curved vertical panels, giving it a different structural design than a regular shell jacket and adding zippers that allow wearers to change the silhouette to their liking. Other standouts include the lightweight Pertex Equilibrium Wind Shirt, a long-sleeve design with a modular construction that boasts a detachable hood and sleeves, and the Waterproof Packable Poncho, with transition lines inspired by flower buds and a construction that enables it to be compressed into a small stuff sack.
Each piece isn’t just a design exercise for the sake of beauty either — it measures up to Goldwin’s exacting technical standards and can be repaired, free of charge, if sent to the brand’s factory in Toyama, Japan. “We want Goldwin 0 products to be created in a responsible way without compromising their function,” designer Julia Rodowicz told Hypebeast in a 2023 interview. “The longer a garment lasts, the more sustainable it is because the energy and resources used to produce it are offset.”
