'47 Brand and Swarovski Team Up for Bedazzled New York Yankees Hat

The New York Yankees already have plenty of hardware as 27-time World Series champions, but now they’re getting a little extra bling: ‘47 Brand and Swarovski have teamed up for a bedazzled Yankees cap.

Made in ‘47 Brand’s familiar “Cleanup” fit — an unstructured six-panel hat with a pre-curved brim and adjustable strap — the hat features a familiar navy blue base but alters the Bronx Bombers’ logo in more ways than one. The interlocking “NY” graphic — which was designed by Tiffany & Co. in 1877 for a medal of valor given to John McDowell, a New York City police officer shot in the line of duty before the Yankees adopted it in 1909 — is usually presented in white, but here its embroidered base is done up in a tonal navy to ensure no attention is detracted from the multitude of shimmering crystals that spell out “NY.”

This is far from the first piece of luxe Yankee headwear, as the familiar cap has been reimagined by everyone from Gucci to Ralph Lauren, BEAMS, Awake NY and dozens of other collaborators, but it is the first time the logo has been reimagined in shimmering crystal. It’s already got one celebrity fan, too, as Kendall Jenner was recently captured rocking one in paparazzi images.
