Our Legacy WORK SHOP has paired up with the multidisciplinary initiative External Vacancy – EVAC – to deliver a capsule built for the great outdoors. Crafted from residual and deadstock Our Legacy fabrics, the apparel melds workwear and performancewear influences and is equipped to protect even the most daring adventurers on their outdoor expeditions.
“This journey started with a vision of a high altitude utopia,” EVAC’s founder Sean Pettit wrote in an Instagram caption, explaining the multifaceted collaborative project – led by a “fort-like” structure atop a mountain peak in British Columbia.
“With the help of like-minded artists, we set off on a quest to build a fort-like space on the top of a high mountain peak in British Columbia over a period of 4 months. The build was dictated by the environment, and the environment was only rocks. So a dry stack method was used to create our space that was to seamlessly blend with its surroundings.”
“A true physical and mental undertaking, we entered a primal state of being to exist in this beautiful yet harsh environment. The more time that was spent interacting with the space the more we learned the lessons of nature. The structure was created as a place of gathering where we could be completely consumed by what is in front of us in the present moment. A place to have no choice be to live in tandem with nature. Our survival depended on it. ”

Where Our Legacy comes in, is in crafting the apparel “designed specifically for our use on this project,” which the duo describes as a hybrid of workwear and performancewear. The capsule consists of a Chisel Hoodie, Flint Jacket and two pairs of Quartz Cargo pants, all of which arrive in earthy hues of greens and browns.
