The highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice has an official release date and title. Warner Bros. has taken to social media to make the announcement, confirming previous speculations regarding the film’s release month.

The film and the studio’s official social media channels have posted a new, ominous poster that shows a September 2024 release date and the title, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The poster on social media was posted with a caption that reads, “Dare you to say it again. #Beetlejuice #Beetlejuice – Only in theaters September 6.” The sequel brings back the original cast which consists of Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. New additions to the film see Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux join the cast. Tim Burton, who directed the original 1988 film, will also return as the director and producer of the sequel in collaboration with Brad Pitt‘s Plan B.

So far, the plot of the film has been remained under wraps but it is said that Ortega will portray Winona Ryder’s character’s daughter from the original and Dafoe will be an underworld cop. Al Gough and Miles Millar, who worked with Ortega on Wednesday, are also doing the screenplay for this sequel. Take a look at the announcement below.
