This past weekend, Salomon and USM Modular Furniture — with assistance from A Clean Lit Space and Rarify — threw an event at the USM store in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood to celebrate New York Fashion Week. The event was centered around Cascades, a traveling custom USM sculpture-slash-footwear display with a rich sunset gradient color palette, which, for this event, was stocked with the latest and greatest from Salomon Sportstyle: 10 unreleased footwear styles that are set to drop in the coming months, ranging from new colorways of longtime favorites to revived archival models.

Salomon Sportstyle’s signature XT-6 was present and accounted for in a single colorway, namely black with silver accents and a waterproof GORE-TEX lining. The chunkier XT-4 was seen in a quartet of colors, ranging from earthy brown and tan color schemes to bold wheat, yellow, and blue, or black and coral iterations. The most unique styles of the bunch, however, were two takes on the X-ALP, a thicker, heavier hiking shoe with a bold lugged sole and beefy rubber toe cap that, until now, had only been revived for a duo of collaborations with French retailer The Broken Arm. One pair offered a grey, tan and green upper with eye-catching sky blue and purple accents, while the other opted for a lighter look with its white and tan mix. A race-ready Speedcross 3 was done up in a mixture of neon yellow and bright red, while two takes on the XT-Slate (one that looked like a cross between Dragon Ball Z‘s Frieza and Majin Buu with its mixture of tan, soft pink and light purple shades, the other of which combine steel grey, black and sandy tan) completed the offering.

Take an in-hand look at the new pairs above, and keep it locked here for updates on a release date as they’re made available.
