Salomon and BEAMS Launch XT-QUEST BEAMS Collaboration Collection Celebrating 50th Anniversary
Under the theme of “Hybridisation,” the collection features seven items, including footwear with buckles derived from ski boots, as well as jackets and bags.
BEAMS, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, has announced the XT-QUEST BEAMS collaboration collection with Salomon.
Under the theme of “Hybridisation,” this collection fuses Salomon’s Alpine trail heritage with the Tokyo culture transmitted by BEAMS, based on the concept of “Born in the Alps, Refined in Tokyo.” The lineup includes a total of seven models, ranging from footwear to apparel and accessories.
The centerpiece of the collection is an all-weather footwear model that incorporates ski boot buckle details. Featuring a contaGRIP® outsole, advancedCHASSIS™, and sensiFIT™, along with waterproof GORE-TEX and premium ripstop materials, it combines functionality with design. It comes in black and is priced at 42,240 yen.
In the apparel category, a nylon jacket (33,440 yen) featuring a zippered pouch and bungee cord on the back reminiscent of a backpack, and nylon pants (21,120 yen) made from the same material have appeared. Both utilize windproof and durable ripstop material, finished with practical specifications suited for urban life.
In addition, the collection includes a T-shirt (7,920 yen) with a graphic printed on the back expressing the fusion of the mountains and the city, a packable logo cap (7,040 yen), a packable tote bag with padded shoulder straps (11,440 yen), and a logo bandana (4,400 yen) made from a material with sweat-absorbing, quick-drying, and stretchy properties. All items are based on black and feature the logos of both brands.
XT-QUEST BEAMS will be pre-released at BEAMS Harajuku starting Friday, November 6. A launch party celebrating the release will also be held on the same day from 19:00 to 21:00. Sales will begin at BEAMS stores and the official online store from Saturday, November 7, and will be rolled out sequentially at Salomon’s directly managed stores in Japan and globally from Thursday, November 12.
