L’Art de L’Automobile and Salomon are shifting their long-running fascination with speed toward the people who keep cars moving. First-look photos shared by L’Art de L’Automobile reveals a new collaborative XT-QUEST 2, conceived around the idea of “Mechanic Walking Shoes” and dressed in a single muted olive and black treatment. The upper leans into the model’s hiking heritage with olive nubuck and textured panels, reinforced by an oversized black toe cap that wraps around the forefoot for a tougher, workwear-like finish. Tonal stitching keeps the build understated, while polished silver hardware and multicolored rope laces introduce flashes of metallic shine and color against the otherwise utilitarian palette.
The detailing becomes more automotive on closer inspection. A circular car graphic is embossed near the heel, while white L’ART lettering appears across the tongue and Salomon branding sits against the black forefoot guard.
