Off-White™ Reveals the Baller Basketball Shoe
Taking a quite literal approach.
Since its 2012 creation, the late Virgil Abloh’s label, Off-White™, has remained a staple in the streetwear world. Even with Ib Kamara now at the helm, the brand has continued to evolve its signature design prowess across ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories. Now the brand is deeping its footwear catalog by diving into basketball shoes with the introduction of “The Baller.”
With it’s first basketball shoe, Off-White™ looks to the basketball in the most literal sense. The Baller comes to life with orange pebbled leather with black striping that imitates a basketball design. Not just a small section or detail, the design covers the shoe’s entirety. The shoe is then enhanced by the brand’s name, Off-White™ decals in silver and blue and white stars. Phrases including “AUTOGRAPH HERE” and “FOR ANKLE BREAKERS ONLY” also come into the mix. Finishing off the shoe is an orange rubber toe cap and outsole.
In addition to the new shoe, Off-White™ just held its FW24 show during Paris Fashion Week. “This is a collection charged with energy and movement, bursting with vibrancy,” said Kamara.
