Braun Reimagines Two Iconic Watch Models For Hodinkee
Introducing the BN0279 Center Seconds and Sub-Seconds limited editions.

For Hodinkee’s latest collaborative project, the company has linked up with Germany-based designed-driven manufacturer, Braun. Marking their first partnership are two limited-edition watches, the Braun BN0279 Center Seconds and BN0279 Sub-Seconds.
On the design front, both models draw inspiration from Braun’s AW10 and AW50 watches. Synonymous with the original models, the new 44mm references inherit its inspirations’ iconic silhouette, raw appeal and Bauhaus aesthetic. Other signature features from Braun’s alarm clock days in the ‘70s are also incorporated into the new collaborative models. This includes the red arrowed date window that was previously only used on the AW50 and the yellow seconds hand from the AW10.
The two collaborative timepieces are also Braun’s second-ever mechanical watch offerings to be equipped with Swiss-made movements. In this case, the watches are powered by the automatic-winding ETA 2892A2 caliber that’s geared with 42 hours of power reserve.
Retailing for $950 USD, both watches are limited to 100 examples each and are exclusively sold at the Hodinkee Shop.
