Rising London-based imprint Pawa Speed Sports has just unveiled its latest collection, taking inspiration from Japanese street racing and the collision of Japanese and British subcultures.

Created by London-residing designers and illustrators, Luc Szivo and George Pitassi — with the duo previously working for the likes of Aries, Maharishi, and Garbstore — the new collection dives into a new lane of British streetwear by cross-examining subcultures from Japanese and British pop culture. This is encapsulated through references to cars, manga, UK jungle, streetculture and the playful nature of 90’s BAPE and BBC Ice Cream skate videos.

Offering a fresh line of bold and playful graphics, the drop includes all-new heavyweight cotton hoodies and tees, while wool caps are also joined by a new range of knitwear, trousers, and scarves. Highlights from the collection feature the brand’s mascot, who is immersed in the underbelly of Japan’s racing scene, while The Speed Football Shirt decorates a classic football jersey with lively graphics.

Meanwhile, Pawa Speed Sport’s P Knit Polo and Doggo Knit Sweater are hit with custom woven graphics and the Classic Pants include a printed pocket lining, side label detailing and back pocket embroidery. Rounding off the collection, The Boy and Sakura Scarves take a step in a new direction by being complete with 3D graphics and animations.

You can take a closer look at the new collection from Pawa Speed Sports above and it’s available to shop via the brand’s official website now.
