Name: Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers”
Colorway: Game Royal/White/University Red
SKU: CW2190-400
MSRP: $190 USD
Release Date: May 30
Where to Buy: Nike

Update: Just over a year after it was originally teased, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers” launched exclusively via UNDEFEATED’s “Game Royal” collection back in March. While we expected it to then arrive globally via Nike in April, it was pushed back to this month instead. Now, a complete set of imagery highlighting the sneaker has been shared ahead of its new launch date of May 30 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $190 USD.

Update: Much has changed in the time since we last previewed the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers.” Namely, the Los Angeles Dodgers achieved their 8th World Series title, overcoming the New York Yankees in a five game series. As excitement surrounding the franchise continues to brew, Nike Basketball has seemingly timed their celebration of the team perfectly as the “Dodgers” colorway of the Kobe 6 Protro is being prepared for an April 2025 launch. An on-foot look at the kicks just popped up, detailing what to expect from the red, white and blue pair that we described previously below. Release is now expected to take place on April 13 of 2025 alongside the Kobe 8 Protro “What The” at a price of $190 USD via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

Update: Vanessa Bryant has shared many different previews of Nike Kobe sneakers, including this Kobe 6 “Dodgers” pair that was gifted to the Los Angeles Dodgers in April. However, none of the pairs have been rumored to actually release, until now that is. According to a report from Elden Monitors and House of Heat, a “Game Royal” colorway of the Kobe 6 Protro is coming in summer 2025, presumably with this “Dodgers” color blocking. Stay tuned for updates as we await confirmation.

Original Story: News of Nike officially relaunching its Kobe line electrified the sneaker scene last year. While last year’s releases were rather limited in terms of both the amount of designs and their availability, the line looks to be coming back in a big way for 2024 as many upcoming colorways — both new and familiar — have been spotted already.

There are also plenty of player-exclusive looks that have been revealed, with Vanessa Bryant shaking up the scene by sharing one pair after another on her Instagram this week. From a “Valentine’s Day” version of the Kobe 8 Protro to a “Leopard” rendition and a new hot pink Kobe 4 Protro, many collectors have been clamoring for the designs to undergo a public release. Adding to the list, Bryant has revealed a “Dodgers” PE on the Kobe 6 Protro. Sticking to the city of Los Angeles, the pair sports the Dodgers’ blue and white as red touches down at the baseball-themed tongue embroidery and the heel’s “8” detail.

Based on Vanessa Bryant’s inclusion of “#PE” in her caption of the post, it’s unlikely that the Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers” will be releasing anytime soon. However, stay tuned for updates as we eagerly await what’s next for the Nike Kobe line.
