PUMA's Squid Game Collection Offers Colorful Kicks and Velour Uniforms

Set in the familiar sleeping quarters of the Squid Game facilities, PUMA has unveiled a new campaign to accompany the release of its Squid Game collection. The range includes familiar tracksuits modeled after the contestant uniforms from the South Korean Netflix show, along with two bold sneakers from PUMA’s classic silhouettes.

The sportswear brand’s lifestyle take on the ubiquitous Squid Game uniform reimagines the design with black and mint green velour, printed with the Escher-esque staircase of the show’s set. Elsewhere, PUMA offers cozy essentials including a washed co-branded hoodie in black, red and green, as well as a long puffer coat with the game-master mask shown on the backside. Rounding the range out are two illustration-style graphic tees and additional backpacks to match the staircase-printed tracksuits.

For footwear, PUMA leans into the colorful set design of the show with reinterpretated Easy Rider and Suede models. The PUMA x SQUID GAME Easy Rider has blueish-green leather uppers, accented with dark red suede overlays and a matching lining. Cream midsoles are punctuated with brown outsoles that peek out at the toe and heel. The shoe also comes with a rubber tag resembling the schoolgirl mascot, also found printed on the insoles.

For an expressive alternative, the PUMA x SQUID GAME Suede draws its pastel technicolor palette from the surreal interiors of the Squid Game facility. A patchwork of pink, magenta, blue and light green suede make up the asymmetrical uppers. The scalloped leather eye stays mirror the zigzag stitching that joins the multi-colored upper panels, while a unique patchwork tongue adds visual interest.

The collection arrives just in time for the Season 2 premiere of Squid Game, streaming via Netflix on December 26.
