Fursac and Mephisto Present New "Dribber" Sneaker Collaboration
Designed with a new “Air Bag” system.
French brand Fursac has connected with Mephisto for a new footwear collaboration, titled the “Dribbler,” that looks to merge the worlds of contemporary fashion and skatewear.
Coming in two new colorways, the sneakers are designed with future-facing technology — such as a new “airbag system” — that makes the shoe as comfortable as possible while still being durable enough to be worn on the board. Available in white with silver accents and in the juxtaposing color scheme of navy and back, both designs have been designed with a combination of Fursac and Mephisto’s DNA, while also looking at the history of both brands and the design codes both imprints have worked with since their respective inceptions.
Meanwhile, the collection has been led by artistic director Gauthier Borsarello, who integrates his passion for vintage-inspired pieces into the designs. For example, the sneaker’s soft rubber and transparent window evoke past designs from Fursac and Mephisto, while the supple leather used across both pairs completes the nostalgic look with modernized touches on the co-branding.
Both pairs also include a new shock absorber sole incorporating three Mephisto technologies; the airbag system, shock absorber, and soft air. These elements ensure a comfortable fit, while they also add elements that allow wearers to rock the pair in more formal settings.
