A$AP Rocky's HOMMEMADE Galaxy Collection Is Retro-Futuristic
Featuring a skyline-shaped rug, a Satellite-inspired lamp and an all-in-one entertainment system.
A$AP Rocky’s creative design studio HOMMEMADE first flew down to Design Miami in 2022, when the label revealed its Shroom CACTUS®, a limited-edition, mushroom-covered cactus design made in collaboration with Gufram. This year, the Flacko-led imprint returned to the fair’s Curio section with an all-new Skyline Carpet — an interior design concept that reimagines the traditional rug with three-dimensional New York City highrises — in partnership again with Gufram.
Measuring 300 cm x 300 cm, the experimental carpet mirrors the city’s downtown layout with buildings made from Gufram’s signature polyurethane material. “New York is a city I am deeply connected to, representing innovation and dynamism, exactly like our design projects,” Rocky said. “For this second collaboration with Gufram, we wanted to create a piece that embodies the spirit of this city by merging art, architecture, and functionality. As a creative, my goal is to design objects that not only furnish but also stimulate and inspire.”
The Skyline Carpet is part of HOMMEMADE’s “Galaxy” collection, which provides a “deeper look into what a surreal retro-futuristic lifestyle would look like from the POV of a Satellite.” The line also includes a “Satellamp” projector and lamp, as well as Rocky’s massive CBNT.V1 studio and entertainment center, which first debuted in Shanghai at Moncler’s latest Genius show.
