Update: Official images of the logo-covered Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low have been revealed, and they’ve brought an exceptional, previously unseen, detail to the surface — namely that the style is limited to a scant 8,000 pairs, an Easter egg spotlighted via an individually-numbered badge on the insole that also features “Mamba Forever” text. Besides this embellishment, the shoes feature heel details split between Kobe’s #8 and his Kill Bill-inspired sheath logo, a “signature” patch hanging below the tongue tag, and an all-over debossed sheath print. The style was first seen on the feet of Bryant’s daughter Natalia at August’s 2024 Mamba League Invitational tournament.

The upcoming “Kobe Byrant” colorway sees the AF1 take on a black leather upper that is entirely embossed with the Black Mamba logo throughout. Taking on a black, varsity maize and varsity purple color scheme, the low-top shoe’s all-black and all-over print gives way to the varsity maize and purple accents that hit Swoosh, heel tab, tongue branding, “AIR” midsole branding and the outsole. The color scheme is reminiscent of the Lakers’ Hollywood Nights jerseys that were primarily black and featured the signature purple and gold piping throughout.
