AVI-8 Reconnects With Inkdial For a Limited-Edition Hawker Hurricane Chronograph

AVI-8 has linked up with watch artist and illustrator, Ben Li aka Inkdial once again to reimagine its Hawker Hurricane Chronograph with a striking blueprint-like design.
The limited-edition timepiece brings Inkdial’s technical drawings onto an actual timepiece, transforming AVI-8’s iconic model with gridlines and artistic markings. Housed in a 43mm stainless steel build, every element, from the hands to the dial details and even the strap, reflects the artist’s signature style.
Not only does the design create an interesting interplay between 2D and 3D elements, but the deconstructed lines on the sketch dial are coated in lume, allowing the timepiece to retain its distinct appeal even in low light. This luminous effect is also reiterated on the caseback as well as on the extra luminous nylon strap.
More than just a timepiece, this collector’s item is a tribute to the synergy between art and horology. Each watch includes a booklet detailing Inkdial’s design process, a cleaning cloth adorned with his artwork and a UV torch to enhance the unboxing experience.
Limited to 400 pieces worldwide, the Hawker Hurricane Inkdial Chronograph Limited Edition is now available for purchase via AVI-8’s official website, retailing at $295 USD.
