Devin Booker Drops off Nike Book 1 PEs For University of Kentucky
Arriving in home and away pairs inspired by the Wildcats’ 1996 National Championship run.
Devin Booker has been on a PE kick lately, releasing many never-before-seen options of the Nike Book 1. This time around, Book pays homage to his University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team. Gearing up for its new season, beginning on November 4, the Wildcats received a special home and away pair of Book 1s, inspired by the school’s hallmark blue and white color scheme and the program’s 1996 National Championship season.
The Kentucky PEs comes after Booker dropped a string of collegiate PEs throughout the season, first revealing the Michigan State PE and later the USC Trojans one. The details of the shoe sees the Book 1 dressed in the team’s blue and white colorway, with the 34-2 lettering appearing on the shoe’s tongue as a nod to Booker’s time with the Wildcats. While the details cleverly give a nod to the Kentucky’s National Championship run in 1996, it doubles as subtle detailing highlighting Booker’s birth year. The Wildcats logos are seen on the insoles and lateral side of the heelcounter.
