Devin Booker‘s homecoming was one to remember as the Phoenix Suns guard faced off against the Detroit Pistons at the Michigan State University’s Breslin Center. Returning to play in front of his hometown crowd, the Grand Rapids native continues to establish a deep connection with the university, even maintaining good relations with MSU’s legendary coach, Tom Izzo. While he did play his college career at Kentucky, he continues to hold a strong bond with Michigan State. The Nike Book 1 “Michigan State” PE takes inspiration from the school’s forest green colors. The shoe is constructed with a nubuck toe box paired with canvas paneling, to pay tribute to MSU. The school’s Spartan mascot is seen on the heel, a nod to the school spirit. It is uncertain if this will be available for a public release but at the time, fans won’t get a chance to buy the shoe just yet.
