Take a Closer Look Inside Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens

Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens has officially opened its doors. This marks the first Ace Hotel location in Greece, and subsequently Europe, as well as the second under the Swim Club brand. The hotel, designed by French architecture and interior firm ciguë, is located along the Athens Riviera, cradled by region’s cerulean seascape.

Hosting 120 rooms, the hotel embodies Greek modernism that complements the classic ’70s coastal resorts charm. While retaining the Brutalist structure of the former Fenix Hotel, the new Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens revives the location and reimagines the space with a spacious lobby, expansive pool and poolside bar and dining, casual cafe and gallery space, rooftop pool, restaurant and bar, and of course the all-day French American restaurant — Sebastian. The all-day bistro is led by Athenian chef Elvi Dimitris Zyba who will be serving seasonal French American dishes paired with a specially curated wine list that includes some of Athen’s finest local natural wines.

Hoping to be a destination for both out-of-towners and a central hub for the city’s creative industries, the hotel curates a space that is open to an eclectic group of guests. Original artworks by local contemporary artists that span across murals, photography, sculptures and music can be experienced while hotel guests and the neighborhood can unwind at the ground-floor pool and Swim Club. The property joins its sister Swim Club in Palm Springs as it offers a leisurely blur of indoor and outdoor space. The hotel also offers an art program curated in partnership with Atelier Ace and ciguë to showcase contemporary Athenian art to the community.
