AAPE is known for being on the pulse of youth streetwear culture. For the Fall / Winter season, the brand introduces a new retro collection inspired by staple aspects of North American streetwear culture, emphasizing the everyday wearability and functionality. The collection of both menswear and womenswear features three elements – “AAPE SKATE” and “AAPE HIP-HOP” for men, and “AAPE FANTASY” for women.

“AAPE SKATE” pulls from the creative and rebellious spirit of American skate culture, using hand drawn-graffiti prints, color block plaid patterns, and fish-eye motion blur design elements. From plush and reversible jackets to capri pants, the skate collection uses a bold color palette to showcase the essence of the brand’s defiant and daring sensibility. “AAPE HIP-HOP” follows a similar dauntless nature with its inspiration. Following the free-spirited but innovative history of hip-hop, this collection leans on the theatrics of the genre’s visual culture. Utilizing AAPE’s signature desert camo and faux animal print paired with cement tones of black gray and brown, the line is inspired by the stage attire of hip-hop’s rappers. With bomber jackets, hoodies, knit set, and denim staples, the collection empowers wearers to embrace the nonchalance of the next generation.

Womenswear collection “AAPE FANTASY” leans on the free spirited nature of the 90s fused with skate culture through the lens of collegiate wear. With whimsical elements like twisted floral prints, washed denim, and corduroy trimmed shorts, the collection is inspired by campus cool kids with an upbeat style sense. Using innovative fabric approaches like terry sweatshirts and fleece jacquards, the capsule supports the return of retro fashion.
