norda and SOAR Aim For the Summit with New Trail Running Apparel Collection
Featuring a color palette inspired by “komorebi,” the Japanese term for “sunlight leaking through trees.”
norda hangs its hat on making the world’s best trail running shoes — near-invincible creations that feature top-tier materials from Dyneema and Vibram — and now they’re bringing that ethos into the world of running apparel by collaborating with the similarly-minded crew at SOAR for a seven-piece capsule designed for winter trail running.
Offering a yellow, taupe and black color palette that’s inspired by komorebi, the Japanese term for “sunlight leaking through trees,” the collection’s aesthetic aims to encapsulate the feeling of warm sunlight reaching a trail runner in a thick forest. The unisex offerings include an anorak, tight, shorts, a long-sleeve top and a beanie, each with a construction and details designed to meet the specific needs of trail runners.
The anorak, made from proprietary Italian fabric, features a four-panel fit with fully taped seams, reflective materials and a duo of large pockets, while the tights blend a minimalist design with four large pockets including a garment tube and a valuables holder. Shorts, on the other hand, offer a 17cm inseam and looser fit to ensure plenty of movement on rocky terrain, while the long-sleeve top is made of synthetic wool that’s quick-drying, anti-bacterial and versatile — it’s designed to take runners from cool mornings to balmy afternoons. Rounding off the offerings is a sleek merino silk beanie.
