Seiko's New Prospex Solar Divers Feature 10-Month Power Reserves
Arriving in three classic colorways.
After announcing a rare collaborative Presage model with Porter Classic, Seiko now turns to its heritage diver series with a brand-new Solar Diver model.
Apperance-wise, the new references faithfully inherit signature features and aesthetics that make up the Prospex model’s DNA. Arriving in two classic builds spanning stainless steel and titanium, the watches are outfitted in a full-metal look with matching cases and bracelets.
The steel variants see a red and blue bezel version and a black bezel iteration, both paired with matte black dials. Meanwhile, the titanium variation features a black dial and bezel combo. Per usual, the geometric indices and hands are coated with Lumibrite to ensure readability even in dark conditions.
The highlighted feature of the new Prospex Solar Divers is undoubtedly its solar-power functionality. Geared with up to 10 months of power reserve upon a full charge and is rechargeable in both natural and artificial light conditions.
The steel edition boasts a price tag of £470 GBP (approx. $615 USD ), while the titanium version is priced at £530 GBP (approx. $693 USD). All models are now available for pre-order via Seiko’s website.
