Reebok‘s retro InstaPump Fury 94 is a beloved silhouette in the Asia-Pacific region, having taken hold over the last 30 years as a streetwear staple in Japan, Korea and China. Naturally, after enlisting other Japanese designers like noir kei ninomiya and POTR (Porter Yoshida & co‘s sub-label) to reimagine the model, Reebok has called in BEAMS to put its spin on the futuristic sneaker.

In the true spirit of BEAMS, the newly unveiled InstaPump Fury 94 boasts refined, yet forward-thinking updates to the model. Most notably, the shoe’s expressive cushioned overlays are reinterpreted in a silver finish with bold black outlines, resembling a knight’s shining armor.

As in the original design, laces are traded for two black bandages that match the pair’s black outsoles and heel accents. White mesh uppers and midsoles provide a clean backdrop for the silver details to take center stage, while gray tabs are protrude at the heel and tongue, mirroring the ongoing chrome-hued focus.

At the heel, Reebok’s insignia replaces the brand’s wordmark with “Beams” displayed on a curving axis above the logo. BEAMS’ name also appears subtly on the pump valve near the collar.

While BEAMS’ has begun distribution of the model at its physical locations, the pair will arrive at Reebok’s web store on November 7, retailing for $230 USD.
