Ulysse Nardin Celebrates Watches of Switzerland's Centenary with Freak S Limited Edition
Starring a rare crystalium base plate in a glimmering violet finish.
Another exclusive timepiece has been unveiled as Watches of Switzerland continues its centenary celebrations. This time around, the retailer partners with Ulysse Nardin for a special iteration of the Freak S model.
The Ulysse Nardin Freak S Watches of Switzerland Centenary Edition comes in a 45mm anthracite-PVD-coated titanium case with a gray titanium bezel. Its watch face showcases a mesmerizing, spaceship-like spectacle featuring its distinctive dial-less design and impeccable UN-251 Manufacture movement.
Bold and striking in color, this special reference features a crystalium base plate in a glimmering violet hue. Crystalium is formed by crystallizing ruthenium, a process that is complete over a few days and gives every piece a unique finish.
The timepiece is set on a “ballistic” rubber strap featuring a woven look, complete with light purple stitches that tie into its regal color palette. Released as a 10-piece limited-edition, the Ulysse Nardin Freak S Watches of Switzerland Centenary Edition retails for £143,870 GBP (around $188,779 USD) and is only available through Watches of Switzerland.
