Salomon Sets Up Shop in Soho
Signalling the label’s first-ever New York City pop-up, the store will serve as a “test” as Salomon eyes a permanent space in the city for 2025.
Salomon has made its way to Manhattan, in what marks one of its most major North American expansions to date. As the outdoor label continues to grow its global presence – with flagships in France and storefronts throughout Europe and Asia – Salomon has officially opened the doors to its first-ever New York City pop-up shop.
Located in the heart of Soho, the Spring Street store is now open to the public and will remain as such until January 2025. Honed in on Salomon’s Sportstyle line, the store will serve as “a test,” as the brand plans to permanently expand to New York City in 2025. A press release notes that Salomon is looking to expand to five physical stores next year, beginning with a brick-and-mortar outpost in NYC.
The store is also home to a curated assortment of footwear, including the ACS, Speedcross 3, and XT-6 models. Salomon has also revived its sleek Snowclog silhouette to commemorate the store opening.
“New York has been a global cultural hub for decades, and its community has long known and adopted Salomon,” noted Salomon’s president of the Americas Steve Doolan. “Most recently that connectivity has been to some of its most vaunted heritage styles, which are seen every day on the streets of New York City. Seeing that adoption was motivation to speak to and connect directly through a store.”
