Paris Texas Packs Heat on "RökKOut"
The duo’s first solo studio release since ‘MID AIR.’
Paris Texas has kept it rather lowkey this year. After unveiling their impressive longform debut MID AIR back in July of 2023, the dynamic rap duo hasn’t dropped off a single solo studio cut.
Today, Paris Texas has kicked off their surprise return to the scene, unveiling their first solo offering since MID AIR entitled “RökKOut.”
Clocking in at just under four minutes long, “RökKOut” is a lengthy, true-to-form Paris Texas offering infused with the duo’s smart wordplay and relatable lyricism.
“Rock out in this b*tch / Rock out in this h*e / I was overseas / Sold out every show,” the chorus kicks off.
Paris Texas sat down with Hypebeast for Hypebeast Magazine Issue 32: The Fever Issue, and shared more about their artistry and approach.
“You could say the craziest things about life, but because a lot of experiences or emotions are shared, people can still relate. Providing those feelings in your music will resonate more than being the most creative lyricist with the wordplay stuff,” Felix said at the time, while Louie Pastel added “I think [our music] would be different if I had more of a story-driven thing going, but I’ve chosen to make my artist persona closer to who I am in real life.”
