norda is adding to its fall range with a new “Maple” colorway of the 003. A laceless, slip-on hybrid model suitable for approach, scrambling and recovery use, the 003 boasts an elasticized iteration of norda’s signature Bio-Dyneema on its upper, ensuring that it’ll keep its shape even with extensive wear, and also uses the brand’s signature underfoot combo of a Vibram SLE midsole plus an outsole that utilizes Vibram’s Litebase and Megagrip technologies.
What’s unique about the “Maple” is that it’s the first-in-line colorway to offer a waterproof G+ graphene membrane — though the HAVEN x norda 003 featured this technology, the shoe’s previous “Pitch Black” and “Cinder” colorways did not.
Looks-wise, the “Maple” lives up to its name with a rich, earthy golden upper accented by a black throat and collar with white trim, a tan suede heel overlay, white midsole, grey outsole and rich burgundy heel tab detail.
Though past in-line iterations of the norda 003 have been priced at $295 USD, the “Maple” will cost buyers $325 USD (the same price as the aforementioned HAVEN collaboration) due to its extra waterproof layer. Look for the new style to touch down on the norda webstore October 24.
