Update: It’s nearly time for LeBron James to step onto NBA courts for a 22nd season, with it being one of the most special debuts for King James yet as he will do so with his son Bronny. In addition to this excitement, fans are gearing up for the launch of the Nike LeBron 22, which has not yet been officially announced, but is visible here in its debut “Moonlight” colorway. Spotted at the start of the month, it combines “White,” “Volt Glow,” “Medium Ash,” “Hot Lava” and “Wolf Grey” to create an eye-catching look that James is likely to wear sometime this season. Release remains anticipated to take place on November 1 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD. Stay tuned for a complete rundown of the new performance sneaker’s specifications and revisit our initial story below for more info.
Original Story: As LeBron James embarked on his legendary run at this year’s Olympic Games in Paris, he wore his next signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 22. The new sneaker builds upon his 22-year history of footwear with Nike Basketball by iterating upon the low-top shape of the LeBron 20 and 21.
Various colorways have popped up previously, including Team USA-themed looks and a “Gold Medal” PE. Now, a retail pair has hit the net, appearing in a “Moonlight” look. The shoe begins with a gray upper that sees its unique Swoosh structure accented by a lime green outline that matches the toe region of the sole and a black that stretches from the Swoosh to the midsole. A bright red accents the heel and the laces as well.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced when the LeBron 22 “Moonlight” will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery, as we currently expect the sneaker to drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD on November 1.
