Born X Raised has joined hands with Indigenous Enterprise to present a collection of garments that honors the legacy of Indigenous peoples while also advocating for more Indigenous representation in the modern-day fashion industry. Flexed in a campaign photographed by Atiba Jefferson, the duo delivers a resilience-fueled capsule of clothing, complete with graphic t-shirts, crewnecks and accessories.

“This collaboration holds deep significance for me, as Born X Raised has played a pivotal role in the journey of Indigenous Enterprise and our story. I wanted to create this collection in celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, to honor our heritage and uplift our community. It was important to me that this collection makes us feel seen and recognized,” began Indigenous Enterprise’s founder Kenneth Shirley.

“The quote, ‘We are the grandchildren of the ancestors they couldn’t kill,’ resonates profoundly with me, symbolizing the strength of our ancestors and the resilience of our culture. Today, we stand strong, committed to preserving our heritage and honoring those who fought to keep it alive.”

The aforementioned mantra is featured in BXR’s signature Old English font on the collection’s centerfold, the Ancestors’ Tee. The Fancy Dancer Tee pays tribute to Indigenous artistry, stamped with the phrase “Legacy of Warriors they could never silence.” Rounding out the release come the Rocker Hoodie and Legacy Crewneck, as well as a New Era 59Fifty “Rocker Fitted” Cap, embroidered with “The ancestors they couldn’t kill.”

“I am grateful to Born x Raised for collaborating with us to raise awareness for Indigenous peoples and support Indigenous nonprofits, particularly those dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth. Through this partnership, we aim to continue honoring our ancestors and the cultural legacy they worked so hard to protect.”
