Levi's and McLaren Racing Collaborate on Second Collection
Combining both of the brands’ dedicated approach to craft into a contemporary capsule of special edition denim and motorsport-inspired essentials.
Following up on their first collaboration that took inspiration from old school racing gear, Levi’s and McLaren Racing‘s latest collaboration celebrates the contemporary culture behind the motorsport brand with pared back, casual styles.
Throughout the range understated cobranding meets classic materials and a minimal color palette. The light wash Track Trucker jacket boasts a ribbed collar and hem, while the women’s Speed Trucker comes in black with a double-latched mock neck collar and waist band. Both of the jackets bear a McLaren wordmark on the left-side breast.
The light wash Sports 501® jeans draw inspiration from Levi’s’ classic 501® ‘93 Straight Fit with an added embroidery at the ankle. For women, the black Speed Jeans are offered in a baggy fit with side panels and self-piping for additional interest. The brand has offered a closer look at the bottoms via Instagram, showing a special rubberized patch with an overhanging McLaren tag.
A dose of saturation is offered in the Second Skin shirt, an orange long sleeve tee with an all-over racing pattern and a McLaren logo at the center of the chest. Larger scale graphics appear on the back of a asphalt colored short sleeve tee and on the front of a black-and-white paneled hoodie. The collection is topped off with a lustrous full-print bandana depicting a zooming McLaren race car on the track.
With prices ranging from $40-$160 USD, the second collection from Levi’s x McLaren will be available globally in-store and online at Levi’s on October 17 .
