Vessel Reveals Its New Player Series of Golf Bags
Featuring reimagined storage and new magnetic pockets.
Vessel, a maker of golf bags based in Carlsbad, California, is always looking for opportunities to make small improvements to its premium lineup of products. Whether it’s adding an unexpected element of functionality or implementing a new swatch of fabric, the brand has garnered a reputation for its attention to detail matched with a preference for simplicity. And as the year draws to a close Vessel has unveiled the latest version of its marquee Player Series which, true to form, has just a few intentional upgrades.
Positioned as Vessel’s premier stand bag, the new Player V Pro continues to offer a ton of storage thanks to 16 pockets. And a nifty rotator stand system which provides stability with the carbon fiber legs extended or folded up remains one of our favorite features on any bag in the market. This year, however, Vessel tweaked the 7 and 14-way tops with offset dividers to make golf clubs both easier to retrieve and view. More magnetic pockets were also added this time around, with the rangefinder pocket being given an internal divider for more efficient use of space. The bags come in black, navy, grey or white in a durable synthetic leather with pebbled texture.
On the other hand, the Player V continues to provide many of the benefits of its Pro counterpart in a slightly smaller footprint. At 6.6 lbs the bag weighs in close to a full pound less and retains the same number of pockets but with a smaller opening.
