Casio Reimagines the Casiotron in Black and Gold
Embodying a “Zero to One” design philosophy.
Continuing to celebrate Casiotron’s 50th anniversary, Casio introduced an all-new limited edition.
Embodying the brand’s “Zero to One” philosophy, the new Casiotron TRN50ZE-1 features a sleek appearance and a sophisticated color scheme. From the bezel, logo to a segment of the bracelet, golden details are implemented to elevate the glossy black watch with a touch of luxe.
Tomoo Kato, the chairman of Casio America explains the TRN50ZE-1 draws inspiration from a candle’s light as a symbol of their “journey from darkness to light.” Expounding from the “Zero to One” concept, black represents zero and darkness, meanwhile, the gold accents symbolize the “burning light of creation.”
While its overall appearance pays homage to the original reference from 1974, the TRN50ZE-1 is equipped with modern specs. Capable of withstanding 50 meters underwater, the the watch is solar-powered and comes with a super-illuminator LED backlight, as well as features such as daily alarms, world time and smartphone connectivity.
Retailing for $600 USD, the Casiotron TRN50ZE-1 will be available through Casio’s official webstore and select retail locations.
