BRABUS Unveils 1,000 HP Shooting Brake SL
Dubbed the BRABUS Rocket GTS and dressed entirely in carbon fiber.
BRABUS has unveiled its latest creation, a high-performance Mercedes-Benz SL Shooting Brake dubbed the Rocket GTS. The vehicle boasts an impressive 1,000 hp and an electronically limited torque of 1,194 lb-ft.
The Rocket GTS combines a custom-built 4.5L V8 biturbo engine, delivering 796 hp, with a 204 hp electric drive module, achieving a combined 0-60 mph sprint in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph. This acceleration is supported by BRABUS’s meticulously crafted hybrid powertrain, which includes a high-performance nine-speed sports transmission and a two-speed gearbox in the electric drive, pushing the limits of hybrid engineering.
Its distinct aesthetic is sculpted in exposed carbon fiber, forged through advanced CAD, CFD and wind tunnel optimization. The Hyper GT design is both visually striking and functionally sound, with aerodynamics enhancing stability even beyond 185 mph. Wide, aerodynamic fenders house custom 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels, which integrate carbon aero blades to channel heat from the brakes.
Inside, the Rocket GTS features a bespoke interior in slate gray leather and black Alcantara with diamond-quilted stitching in BRABUS’s “Seashell Diamond” design. The cabin is accented with BRABUS’s “Shadow Gray” trim and illuminated logos, underscoring the vehicle’s exclusivity.
While the automaker hasn’t shared specifics on price and availability at the time of writing, it did note that each Rocket GTS will be built to order as part of a limited production run.
