Miami Heat Unveil Statue to Honor Legendary Dwyane Wade at Kaseya Center
Commemorating Wade’s iconic “This is my house” pose.
The Miami Heat paid tribute to NBA superstar Dwyane Wade by revealing his commemorative statue during a ceremony at the Kaseya Center.
The statue, crafted by renowned artists Oscar León and Omri Amrany – also known for creating Michael Jordan‘s statue in Chicago and Kobe Bryant‘s in Los Angeles – pays homage to Wade’s legendary “This is my house” pose from March 2009, an iconic moment that came after his game-winning shot in double overtime against the Chicago Bulls. To ensure the statue truly captured his essence on the court, Wade was deeply involved in its design, making recurring visits and providing input throughout the creative process.
Alongside the statue, a wall at the Kaseya Center lists Wade’s career accomplishments, giving fans a dedicated space to celebrate his enduring impact on the Heat.
