After dropping the KAI 1 “Chief Hélà” earlier this month, ANTA has returned to release the KAI 1 “Speed Tribe,” an electric new colorway that takes inspiration from “the ever-growing family” Kyrie Irving is building on and off the court.
“The KAI 1 Speed Tribe represents the journey I’ve been on, not just as a player, but as a person who is constantly learning from the people around me—my family, my friends, and my fans. This colorway is a tribute to the unity, love, and strength I’ve gained from my tribe, both on and off the court,” Irving said in a statement.
The show’s bold graphic pattern is dotted with myriad colors — black, brown, white, yellow and red — that are meant to represent “all walks of life.”
“We are more powerful united, and I believe it’s essential to learn from those who paved the way and sacrificed for us to be here today,” he added. “This shoe is a reminder that we move forward together, and I’m inviting everyone to be a part of this journey with me.”
