Ask anyone, who is Baker Boy? Chances are, they’ll know him for two things: his music and, of course, his fashion. From his long curls and braids to his colorful matching satin tracksuits, the award-winning rapper, artist and proud Yolngu man has long used fashion as a form of personal expression. “It gets me into this character where I’m just like Baker Boy – crazy, go in, go mental, have fun, magic,” he tells Hypebeast.

His signature style, now characterized by bright colors and bold patterns, is a reflection of his roots, his journey, and the big energy he brings to everything he does. Yet surprisingly, it didn’t begin that way. “When I first started out, I used to just wear all black,” he says. “But as I grew and took inspiration looking at the OG Baker Boys, my style evolved with each show into something much more colorful.”

A significant turning point in Baker Boy’s style evolution came when he met his partner and fashion stylist, Aurie Indianna. “The first time I ever saw Baker Boy perform was at a really big festival and he was wearing this black t-shirt and skinny black ripped jeans,” Aurie says. “It was so out of place with the energy of the show and his performance. I could clearly see he needed to wear more color and fun silhouettes. There was a really big space for his fashion to evolve and grow.”

Together, they have curated a wardrobe that intertwines his culture with contemporary streetwear. “As a Yolngu man, I come from families that tell stories through art. So for me to be able to tell the stories through fashion is very special to me,” he says. Aurie adds: “I believe in fashion fulfilling a narrative and being something more than just aesthetics. With Baker Boy, it’s about continuing that story.”

As Baker Boy’s style has grown over the years, so has his career. He reflected on his major success in a recent single, ‘KING’, which was met with rave reviews when it dropped in late August. Now, the rapper is generating buzz yet again with his latest collaboration on Imagine Dragons’ track ‘Take Me To The Beach’. With each new milestone, his wardrobe has adapted, becoming a collection of pieces that carry significant personal and professional memories.

Now, he’s ready to share some of these special items through an exclusive collaboration with pre-loved fashion platform, eBay. Three pieces, worn on the red carpets of Australia’s biggest music industry awards and in photoshoots for Rolling Stone, will soon be listed for users of eBay to bid on and own.

For Baker Boy, eBay is a convenient platform to share his pre-loved items so they don’t go to waste. “As a busy person, eBay is a very good app that helps me clear the wardrobe,” he says. The ease of listing and selling items on eBay not only allows him to spread more joy through his clothing but also supports a more circular approach to fashion – where pieces are worn, cherished, and passed on, rather than thrown away.

Give you wardrobe a second life by buying or selling unique fashion pieces on eBay today. You can shop Baker Boy’s wardrobe on eBay soon. Stay tuned.
