Vivienne Westwood Reveals SS24 Campaign
With a look at Andreas Kronthaler’s survey of Vivienne’s personal wardrobe.
Vivienne Westwood has revealed its new Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, which offers a look at how the celebrated house is invigorating the forthcoming seasons.
To bring the visuals to light, the house enlisted celebrated fashion photographer and longtime collaborator Juergen Teller. In front of the lends, the collection pieces are complimented by figures like Naomi Campbell and more. But perhaps the most exciting part about the campaign is that it features a look at Andreas Kronthaler’s exhibition of Vivienne’s personal wardrobe from the last four decades. With it, the house and Kronthaler have introduced and remade some of the eye-catching silhouettes.
“At the beginning, we wanted to shoot the campaign as a still life, it seemed the best way to show off Vivienne’s reimagined wardrobe. Display dummies came to mind, and we checked out factories where they are made,” said Kronthaler. “We found one of the last remaining in England in the far east of London, we put together a cast and went there to shoot the new campaign. The people in the factory were very welcoming and we could shoot in all their working places. It was very interesting and great to see how everything is made. We had a great day and such a pleasure to spend it with our cast as always.”
