Timex Reveals Marlin Jet Automatic Watch With Hesalite Crystal Case
Featuring a concave dial with a cross-hair pattern and a 24-hour subdial.
Timex has announced the newest addition to its Marlin timepiece lineup: the Marlin Jet Automatic.
The state-of-the-art watch borrows futuristic design details from the ’60s, with a quiet approach to time-telling inside of a sleek, 38mm brushed stainless-steel construction. The premium accessory features the classic Marlin signage on a grooved bezel, which is enveloped by a domed Hesalite crystal.
That crystal composes the full surface area of the watch case, merging with the edges of the timepieces seamlessly to leave only the lugs on view. The case back, meanwhile, is screwed on smoothly, and it mimics the crystal’s rounded shape to produce a 360-degree streamlined silhouette.
Beneath the crystal glass, a silver-white concave dial adopts a “cross-hair pattern” that is finished with a sub-dial donning 24-hour tickers next to the 9 o’clock marker. Notably, the automatic watch utilizes its wearer’s natural wrist movements to power itself.
Rounding out the specs, the timepiece arrives on a blue woven perlon strap, which fuels the overall design with a textural fabric finish. The strap is built to fit wrist circumferences between 150 and 205 millimeters.
