The year has only just started and Skepta has spared no time in brewing up excitement. After announcing his inaugural Big Smoke Festival for July back in November of last year, the grime legend has taken to Instagram to share that he has much more planned for 2024.

In his latest post to the social media platform, Skepta revealed that his sixth studio album is on its way, titled Knife and Fork. On top of this, a lead single titled “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” will serve as a preview to the project later this month. “It’s been years since I dropped my last album and I want to thank you for all the love during my hiatus. I’ve seen the messages, tweets and Tik Toks, I’m truly grateful that my music is still resonating with the world, even in my absence,” he shared in the post’s caption.

At the time of writing, Skepta has not disclosed any specifics regarding the release of his sixth studio album Knife and Fork, save for its lead single “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” arriving on January 26 with the album releasing at a later time in 2024. Stay tuned for updates as the artist’s rollout continues in the months to come, with his Big Smoke Festival going down on July 6 in Crystal Palace Park.
